Foster Creek Farm was once part of the Samuel P. Miller Homestead and still has the original hand-hewn log cabin and outbuildings dating back to 1890. William P. Huffine bought the farm from the Millers in 1906 and developed the property further, adding the barn and the farmhouse (the Huffine House). There is still evidence of the spur line used to connect ranches north of Belgrade to the Northern Pacific Railroad built in 1883. Once part of a large barley and wheat growing area, the property is still used for growing crops and grazing cattle.
History is important here at Foster Creek Farm. The original grain building has now become the Bridal Suite and one of the old log buildings is now the Groom’s cabin. Our goal is to preserve as much of the original history and buildings while incorporating modern comforts. Minutes from Bozeman, Foster Creek Farm still retains the rural Montana feel with fantastic views, quiet and the visit of deer, elk, antelope, bald eagles, owls, hawks and pheasant to name a few.
