The snow has me thinking of Winter Wonderlands and the parties that await. As a child for me snow meant snow days from school (what a treat!), snowmen, snowball fights and snow angels—growing up in NYC, I never really had the appreciation for snowlike my fellow Montanans since it was always wet, cold and gross and winters meant shorter days. Not until now, as I embark on my first winter in Montana, do I officially understand everyones love of the snow and the excitement of the season. The snow is blanketing the property and making it just that magical. I have learned that living here the summers are for hiking and fishing and the in between and Winter is for skiing! There is so much activity going on in Bozeman and the surrounding areas during the summer, from festivals to weddings (and I mean LOTS of weddings) events. I think the winters are just as beautiful for winter celebrations and the big open skies should be utilized year round, considering the views are even gorgeous during that time of year. I am looking forward to the winter and all the fun activities that come along with it—sleigh rides, learning to ski and snowboard, go snow shoeing and tubing all for the very first time.
